Painting & Wall Finishes
Custom Cabinetry
Chicagoland painting & cabinetry
Painted with precision.
Built by hand.
Painting and woodworking are the core of what we do, but they are just the tools. At SBS Custom Finishes we pair expert interior, exterior and commercial painting with precision-built custom cabinetry to shape your entire living environment. Anyone can paint or build a room—we craft the space you live in.
What we do
Two divisions, one standard of finish.
Half of our work is painting and wall finishes, half is custom cabinetry. Same crew standards and the same finish quality, whichever side of the business your project falls on.
Division 01
Painting & Wall Finishes
Interior, exterior and commercial painting for homes and businesses — surface prep, priming and finish coats applied by a crew that treats every wall like a finish carpentry detail.
Division 02
Custom Cabinetry
Cabinets refinished, refaced or built from scratch in our Schaumburg shop — from a single vanity to a full kitchen, mudroom, laundry or closet system.

Heritage Inn: Murals, Wallcoverings & Guest Suites
Murals and wallcoverings that turn every room into a destination. Painterly ceiling medallions, moody landscape walls and layered color and trim in the guest suites give a historic building a one-of-a-kind character.
Arched Cane-Panel Bar – Drawing to Install
A custom bar, built from concept to installation. Starting from a detailed shop drawing, we built the cabinets in-house with arched cane-panel fronts, dark wood, built-in beverage coolers and a white stone top with room for stools.
Large Home Interior Repaint
A large home repainted room by room. Warm neutrals, a bold red media room and detailed tray ceilings with dark trim show careful color planning and precise cut lines throughout.
Charcoal Dining Buffet with Walnut Counter
A charcoal built-in buffet crowned with glass-front display cabinets and a warm wood counter. Statement storage that turns an open living space into an entertaining destination.
Cedar Deck Restoration & Siding Stain
A weathered cedar deck restored from gray to glowing. We prepped and cleaned the boards, then applied a rich, warm stain to the decking and railings and to the siding accents.
Cherry to Greige Kitchen Refinish
A dated cherry kitchen, transformed. We protected the space, prepped the cabinets and sprayed them in a soft greige for a bright, updated look without replacing a single cabinet.
